Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free! | Where to Eat in Lyon
Lyon, as you may be aware, is the gastronomic capital of France. It is THE PLACE to be if you're a foodie on vacay. I'll go so far as to say that it's the place to be even if you only enjoy watching people eat (gross, get off my site and into therapy.)
Having dietary restrictions shouldn't mean that you have to miss out on the best food that the entire nation of France has to offer. And, because Lyon is such a wonderful place, there is no shortage of spots to help you indulge your taste buds and keep your body happy.
- Popette & Co | 10 Rue de St Cyr
A great place to have simple, flavorful meals made from natural ingredients that feel like dining with friends.
- Five | 69, rue Moncey
More than a simple gluten-free restaurant, Five celebrates the art of living. The food selections and prices make this an ideal place to grab a fresh lunch to eat chez Five or to-go for your lunch in the park.
- Soline | 89 Rue Paul Bert
Organic! Local! Vegetarian! and Gluten-free. Soline was born of the need for a better lifestyle for all and a greater respect for the environment. Soline is great for both a meal and a light dessert.
Patisserie & Cafés
- Les Gasteliers | 123 rue de Sèze
Your sweet tooth needn't suffer, Les Gasteliers is here for you. Bonus points! The first gluten-free pâtisserie in Lyon also has ice cream and is open the entire month of August.
- Boulangerie Saint Vincent | 49 Quai St Vincent
This bakery does not have a website, but what they do have is some of the best gluten-free bread in Lyon. I'll link to the Google Maps photos to get your appetite started.
- My Petite Factory | 17 rue Neuve
My Petite Factory grew from Delicious Happiness, a blog started by Virgine, who used it as a way to explore recipes after being diagnosed with a gluten intolerance. Today, it is a lovely place to enjoy light fare that is gluten & lactose free. There are also 100% vegan options!
Les Lyonnais! Est-qu'il y a des endroits que je doit ajouter à ce liste? If you have a favorite spot you'd like to share with our fellow readers, leave them in the comments below or shoot me an email!
